Our Story
Caring Family Community Services was started in June of 2003 by Roseann Porcelli, a foster/adoptive parent who worked with children with behavioral and special needs. Roseann and her husband, Tony, devoted a lot of time making sure that the children in their care received all the services needed to make them feel at home.
As New Jersey’s Children's Initiative (later known as the Division of Child Behavioral Health) began in Monmouth County, Roseann was provided seed money by MonmouthCares to start a mentoring/behavioral assistance organization to provide service to the CMO children and families. In less than a year Caring Family Community Services grew to the point of providing services for 50 families in Monmouth County. At that time, Caring Family Community Services was a desk in the Porcelli kitchen, where the organization was coordinated with the help of Roseann’s sons and friends.
At the start of the second year of the organization, Roseann realized that her vision could expand beyond Monmouth County and into additional services. Randy Pittman became a partner in Caring Family Community Services. Randy holds a master’s degree in both nursing and business. His education and experience in child behavioral health includes positions with both Monmouth Cares and Value Options. The new partnership allowed the agency to move into professional office space and improved the organization's ability to continue Roseann's vision.
Over the years Caring Family Community Services continued to expand services and has provided services for 1000’s of children, families and individuals throughout the State of New Jersey. Caring Family provides traditional outpatient behavioral health services in the Jackson, NJ office, as well as ABA therapy, IIC, IIH, IIS and mentoring services in home throughout the state.
